Unlocked 3g iPhone

posted in iPhone, by adimoga

The iPhone is a line of internet and multimedia enabled smartphones developed and produced by Apple Inc.The line started in January 2007 with the launch of the original iPhone.Later on came three new models, the last one being launched in 2010.The iPhone can perform simple mobile phone tasks like texting and calling(newer versions also include video calling),as well as more complex functions.

One of the iPhone's other functions is the multimedia function. This function allows the user to store and organize he's favorite music files and videos and play them whenever he likes,as well as viewing his favorite pictures and photographs. The third function of the iPhone is that of an internet and browser-base device used for fast and easy surfing with the help of the implemented Wi-Fi technology.

The iPhone can execute a large number of applications(commonly know in the Apple universe as Apps)that can only be found and obtained from the official Apple online store. These apps have to be approved by Apple first in order for the device to be able to recognize them.Variety is not a problem as Apple currently has over 20.000 apps stored from several domains such as games,social-networking,GPS,entertainment,and many more.

There are currently four models of the iPhone available.Between the first iPhone and the last iPhone 4,there are two models:the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS.Each model has distinct features and improvements that the previous versions lack, but also share a set of characteristics that make the iPhone what it is,like the screen size or the button positioning.A good example of distinct features is the 3G video call ability that the iPhone 3G has introduced to iPhone. The model was named so due to this particular characteristic. An iconic characteristic for all models is the button originality as the device only has two physical buttons, the rest being incorporated in the multi-touch screen that it uses.

In order to gain access to the multimedia and internet features, the user must first register the device as a mobile phone with a proper carrier.Such practice is commonly seen at subsidized GSM phones, but apposing the GSMs,the iPhone cannot be activated by introducing a code or serial number. On the 3rd of July 2007 however,a man named Jon Lech Johnson has succeeded in bypassing this requirement with the help of some software programs and editing he made in the iTunes binary.

When the iPhone 3G(second installment of the serie)came out, hackers had a tough challenge ahead of them,as this model required an in-store activation. In the end, hackers discovered a way to register iPhones from different networks,as iPhones were supposed to be registered to AT&T for U.S. territory.Apple speculates that the hackers succeeded by shipping the iPhones over the sea and having them unlocked there.AT&T started to sell iPhones without contracts but at a double price because they were afraid both them and Apple will lose the differed income.
