Well, not everything is great about the new Apple MacBook Pro and it the next lines we present you some of the cons of this portable device. The first negative aspect we noticed about the new MacBook Pro is the fact that is slippery and this means that the laptop doesn’t want to stay on the lap. The smooth finish is responsible for this thing, because the aluminum shell slides on the fabric.
Other con of the new MacBook Pro is the fact that it doesn’t have a DEL key. This can be a problem for those of you who want to use other operating system beside Macintosh. For example, if you use Windows the command CTRL-ALT-DEL cannot work, because the DEL key doesn’t work, it is not deleting – it sends backspace. An extra ENTER key, for want? We need a DEL key that actually deletes, not sends a backspace and Apple gave us an extra ENTER key.
The magnetic power connector is very annoying, because it keeps falling off even if you don’t move the MacBook. Let’s talk about the fact that you can’t move files in Finder (we don’t have the move option on the right click, no select file, or command + v or command + X) and if you really want to do this, you have to drag and drop and click the option key.
The next con is the battery life time. If you look on the Apple’s website they say that the battery of the new MacBook Pro lasts for about 7 hours and if you have a 17 – inch MacBook Pro you will be very lucky because your laptop will run for 8 hours on a single charge. If you keep the brightness of the display low and you only browse the Internet and something like that, the battery won’t last more than five hours.
The keyboard is not as comfortable as we want it to be, because after a long period of time typing the hands start to hurt. We don’t know if this is our fault or is something about the keyboard that isn’t comfortable. The USB ports are also a con, because the MacBoo Pro has only 2 USB ports. So we need to buy a wireless mouse or wrap the mouse cord around the laptop, because both of the USB ports are on the left side. Overall, the new MacBook Pro if we don’t consider the cons presented above, is a great laptop with a great designed which comes with all the useful application we need.
