Mac OS X is the world’s most secure and advanced operating system. It is very easy to use and it is very powerful. You have all you need pre-installed, so you don’t have to worry about installing software application and drivers, because the system works right from the box.

Mac OS X is part of an integrating system where everything works, because the hardware and the software are created by Apple.

Max OS X is protected against computer viruses and other malicious application, therefore no matter what type of Macintosh operating system you have; you won’t have a virus problem.

The system works with almost every printer, digital camera and other devices, and it also works with Windows networks.

With this operating system you will get everything you need out-of-the box and one of the best things about it is that you don’t have to install anything.

It is very stabile and it has an elegant and easy to use interface. Snow Leopard was first introduced to the public on August 28 2009 and Snow Leopard 10.6 is the seventh major release of Apple Mac OS X.

The minimum system requirements for this operating system are the following: a Mac computer with ATI Radeon HD 4850 or NVIDIA GeForce 860M GT, an Intel Processor: Core 2 Duo or Core Solo, 5 GB available on the disk space, 1GB of RAM and an external USB of DVD drive for installation. The Remote Disc option is also good if you don’t have a DVD drive.

If you have already installed Mac OS X 10.5 you can make an upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.

The new features of Snow Leopard 10.6 are the following:

-          The Finder is rewritten in 64-bit Cocoa and now is taking less space than on the previous version.

-          Boot Camp allow you to copy and read files from HFS+ partitions to Windows partition

-          The Microsoft Exchange is integrated into the iCal application, into Address Book and Mail. Snow Leopard 10.6 also supports Microsoft Exchange 2007.

-          The iChat application requires lower upload bandwidth and provides video chats at a greater resolution

-          The QuickTime interface was redesigned and supports HTTP live streaming.

-          Safari 4 has a built-in crash resistance and has expanded standard support and features like: VoiceOver, Cover Flow and Top Sites.

Apple didn’t forget about the users interface and made some cool changes to it in Snow Leopard 10.6:

-          The best thing about Snow Leopard 10.6 is that it goes to sleep faster and it shuts down faster and everyone can see the difference from the previous version.

-          With this new version of Snow Leopard you can see that the JPEG and PDF icon refreshes faster.

-          Expose is able to display the windows from a single program in a cool grid pattern.

-          New wallpapers are available in Plants, Black and White and Nature. And you can see new wallpaper sub-folders which contain the following: in Patterns you will find: Saree and Pinstripe and in Art you will find: Water Lilies, The Great Wave, Sunday Afternoon, Suprematism, Poppies Blooming, Nightawaks and Dancer on the Stage.

-          You can use new gray and blue solid colors as wallpaper.

-          You are now able to minimized a window onto into its application icon in the dock

-          If you install an application in one language and you want to change that language after installation you will not be able to do that using Finder “Get Info” option. For example Adobe After Effects application will run only in the language you have chosen when you made the installation, if you want to change the language you have to uninstall the application and install it again in a different language.

Overall Snow Leopard 10.6 is faster, better and easier to use. You can active the Expose application from the Dock. The applications run faster because they are now on 64-bit support.

Snow Leopard 10.6 comes with next-generation technologies like: OpenCL a technology which increases the power of your iMac’s graphics to accelerate your applications and to make them run faster.
