You have the possibility to set your favorite songs as ringtones or you can even select for every contact a different song. Thanks to this process you can easily recognize when your friend is calling you. In order to set a ringer on unlocked iPhone, you have to follow some basic steps. It is very important to know that in the beginning you have to unlock your mobile phone. Otherwise you can’t set new songs on your device.
You can only download them from iTunes store. For some of the applications that you want to use as a ringer on your unlocked iPhone you have to pay but you can also find songs that are for free. The step number one is to highlight the “iPhone ringtone” option from the “Voice” menu. For this process you have to attach your iPhone to the computer on which you must have the latest appeared Garage Band software program. Then you will be prompted to type in the empty fields your name and the location where you live. In order to unlock ringtones on your gadget you have to select firstly the “Male Basic” option from where you have to click on “Delete Track” button. Once you have finished with this action you have to follow the same steps with the “Female Basic” track, too.
Then you have to select the song from iTunes application that you want to set as ringtone. Then you have to simply drag and drop it to the 00:00 point in the Garage Band software program. You have the possibility to choose the song’s part that you want to set as your ringtone. Listen the song and drag the yellow bar to the point where you want to finish the song. Don’t forget that usually every ringtone lasts for almost 20 seconds. In order to cut the song’s part that you want to hear when a friend is calling you, you have to extend the yellow bar to the beginning and to the finish of the music. In order to set the changed app as a ringtone, select the “Send Ringtone to iTunes” option. Finally, you can preview the clip that you have made by choosing the “Ringtones” menu on your device.
