I am sure there are a lot of kids who would definitely like to play games or watch their favorite networks’ on TV. Do you know how to connect a Mac Laptop to your TV? Some could say it could be very easier, some no. For some older television this operation does require more effort but it’s not so difficult. You need to have six things in order to finish with success your desire: MAC Laptop, Cable, scan converter, video card, computer to TV video adapter/converter and of course a TV. After completing just nine steps you’ll be able to watch your movies, play your favorite games or even listen music on your TV.
If the system requirements of your laptop can support this operation, go to your TV and search for the input source. It is important for you to know that you should always select the ports with the highest quality (of course if you do have more than one port to your TV). In order to connect these two devices you’ll have to choose between a VGA (Video Graphics Array) cable, HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) cable or a DVI (Digital Visual Interface) cable. According to the type of the connector from your PC you’ll select the correct cable. Be sure you have the correct video adapter on your laptop. For example if you choose VGA connector be sure you have the correct VGA video adapter!!! Why is this so important? As you see the signal that goes from your laptop into your TV has two different connectors at the end at both ends of the cable. The software called Apple Mini DVI to VGA Adapter has this role.
It could also be possible for you to use a video card or a scan converter important to convert the signal from your laptop into a signal proper to your TV ( the red, green and blue signal needs to be convert). Usually the news models in TV area don’t need this kind of thing. Check the TV operating manual for this! For VGA connector (the TV connector) you have to connect your VGA monitor (from VGA adapter) cable to it.
The last step consists in selecting the input from your PC on TV. For a better result and also in case it doesn’t work change the resolution of your laptop into a lower one. Also select a bigger and better sound. Go to Display-> Mirror Displays in order to do this. These step are identical for the other types TV connectors.
