You are not slightly confused, you are hopelessly ignorant. Let me give you just one example,

It's okay for Apple to offer ways to run Microsoft's proprietary software on Apple hardware, but not the other way around?

Hello O Clueless One: Microsoft ALLOWS that use. It is their choice to do so. Just as it is Apple's choice NOT to do so.

I have to ask the painfully obvious, do you even know what anti-monopoly laws are? Or are you speaking out of your posterior?

It's okay for Apple to offer ways to run Microsoft's proprietary software on Apple hardware, but not the other way around? I smell a scrawny, scruffy faced, turtle neck wearing rat. What's good for the goose is good for the gander Mr. Jobs. It's called competitive marketing. Maybe that's where Bill Gates' fortune comes from......bribes from Apple to use his OS and NOT to utilize Apple's OS in less expensive PC's. I love Snow Leopard, but I don't like being forced to pay a set price for the computers that run it. My Mini set me back over $600.00 and is a real pain to upgrade. I could build a better set up myself, in fact I have, using an old G4 Cube, but that's hardly the point, is it? If I go out and purchase Apple's software, I should be able to utilize it as I see fit. Whatever happened to the free enterprise system and all the anti-monopoly laws? Congress set their greedy foot down on Bill's neck.....is it because Al Gore is on Apple's Board of Directors that they leave Apple alone? Quit all your elitist crying and get used to a little friendly competition. If a guy like me can build a better Mac out of old Macs.....chances are someone with a lot of computer savvy can do far better still. At any rate, Steve Jobs has more than enough money to retire on, I assure you. His family won't be on welfare anytime soon. I promise.
