New iPhone 4G

The fourth generation of Apple iPhones is called the iPhone 4.  The iPhone 4 is a slate smartphone from Apple Inc., and the successor of the well known iPhone 3GS, the third generation). The iPhone 4 is particularly marketed for video calling, and consumption of different media types, like games, videos, pictures, music, books, periodicals,  and others. It was first introduced on June 7, 2010, at the WWDC 2010 which was held like any other WWDC event, at the Moscone Center in the city of San Francisco.

The phone was launched on June 24, in the United  States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Japan. What is easy to  notice about the new iPhone is its retouched design. The reason why this  new design is so atractive is because it incorporates a metal band  around the device, which is actualy an antenna for carrier signal, not  just a design accesory. The iPhone 4 is not different from any other iPhone model when it comes to operating systems, as it uses the iOS (first called iPhone OS) operating system developed by Apple itself as well. The main control method on the iPhone 4 is the multi touch based liquid crystal display screen whichis called the Retine Display because of its resolution.



The screen is intended for the use of bare fingers, so normal styluses and gloves will not work because they are not able to produce the minimum amount of electrical conductivity that is needed in order for the phone to register the change as a touch event. The hardware in the iPhone 4 is different from its predecessors, as it uses the Apple A4 processor, and 512 MB of eDRAM. It is twice as fast as the iPhone 3G or the iPhone 3GS, and four times faster than the original iPhone. Whit all these great things said about the phone, it is hard to  believe that it actually has a flaw. A big number of customers have reported a problem with the signal. They say that the signal drops when the phone is held different ways, especially when the hand covers the small  gap in the metal frame, located on the bottom-left side of the device. Apple agreed to give free cases to all customers until September 30, 2010, or a complete refund.



After that date, customers that suffer from this problem could still get a case by calling at Apple Care. The iPhone 4 uses the latest addition to the iOS version, the iOS 4.2.1. This model of the operating system adds very interesting features to the software, such as AirPrint or AirPlay. Even tough it has the antenna problem, a huge number of people, from simple Apple customers to professional  critics agree that this is the best iPhone model currently available for purchase.
