MP3 Vs iPod

posted in iPod, by adimoga

An iPod is actually a brand of MP3 Player with some differences. In  the category of PMP (portable music player) we had the Walkmans in the beginning and then the CD players. Both have been replaced because of their size and of course, because of the fact that you couldn’t store thousands of songs on them (like you can do it now with all these new players). Now, all those players come in different shapes and colors and you can find  everything you need.

What is an MP3 Player? It’s a type a DAP (digital audio player) that can support different file types such as Waveform Audio (WAV), Windows  Media Audio (WMA), Music Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) and other  audio formats. Am MP3 is a storage device that can let you transfer audio files from your PC to your player. It may include different  options such as playlists, equalization options, radio and some others. It  usually is used with the computer with the little help of the USB port  so that you can transfer the files you need.

Some MP3 Players can be charged using an USB port on your computer, some may need an AC Adapter for charging. Nowadays, there are different  devices that can offer to the customer an MP3 incorporated. ( glasses,  smartphones, watches. PDa’s and satellite radios).

Now, what is the difference between an MP3 Player and an iPod?  The first answer is that both are MP3 Players, but the iPod is different because it’s made by Apple. That means that the Apple iPod has  a different design and different features. Since the iPod was released  in 2001, the Apple Company has released many kinds of this product which are starting to more and more in the public’s attention.

Both MP3 Player and iPod can let you download music from the internet  search engine. Only iPod uses a specific software created by Apple and  you can transfer/download music with software ( iTUnes ).

MP3 vs iPod it’s starting to be a problem and since the iPod  was created, the other Companies tried to compete with this product.  It’s an interesting war out there and the customers are surrounded with  possibilities and lots of products. The fact is that in 2007, Apple has  sold more than 110 million iPods worldwide. This means that the iPod is the best-selling product in this big history of audio players.

Another fact of this Mp3 Player vs  iPod is that both are  starting to be really accessible to everybody. At first, iPods were  something rare and expensive in a way, but now, all those kind of iPods  and all these different prices can make anyone buy an iPod. Let’s not  forget that if you want to listen music, both are good choices and can make you happy by listening to what you like.

The question still remains: is an iPod better that an MP3 Player? And  will MP3 players disappear because of the iPods? We can only guess, but  now, the iPods are the winners and there will always be a difference  between these two.
