MacBook Pro 15 Core 2 Battery

posted in Apple, MacBooks, by BindApple

The MacBook is a brand of notebook computers produced by the Apple company. It was first introduced in 2006 when it replaced the existing models of notebooks – the iBook and the PowerBook. The MacBook is actually the best selling Macintosh computer in the history of Apple and also in 2008 the mid-range model of the MacBook family was the best selling laptop in the whole United States. There are 3 types of designs for the MacBook and the first one used a polycarbonate casing that was similar to the iBook G4 computer. The second type used a unibody aluminum casing while the third is using a unibody polycarbonate shell.

Today there are three families of MacBook notebooks and these are: the classic MacBook, the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air. They are different from on another in size (the MacBook is the thickest and heaviest while the MacBook Air is the most thinnest of all) and also in prices (the MacBook Air is the most expensive, with prices starting from 1.499 dollars). But today we’ll discuss about the middle version of these notebooks, the MacBook Pro. It is not as thick as the simple one, but not as thin as the Air…it is better in technical details than the simple MacBook, but not as good as the Air and the price is also somewhere between the other 2 versions, with prices starting at 1.199 dollars. To have the list completed, the starting price for the simple MacBook is 999 dollars.

There are 6 different models that you can choose from. All of the MacBook Pro notebooks have a Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a battery that can last for up to 7 hours and they are different from one another in the size of the display screen, but also in other features. But now let’s present all of these models, with the technical details for each one:

First there is the 13 inch version with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor @ 2.26 Ghz and a price of 1.199 dollars, with these specifications: 2 GB of RAM memory, a hard drive of 160 GB, a SD card slot and an NVIDIA GeForce  9400 graphic card. Then there is the version that also has a 13 inch display screen, but a better processor (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53 Ghz), a better RAM memory (4 GB) and a bigger hard drive (250 GB). And the price for this model is also bigger, and it costs 1.499 dollars.

Now let’s move on to the 15 inch models, and here we have 3 of them. All the three versions have an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB of RAM memory, a SD card slot a and  a battery that can last for up to 7 hours. But they differ in other features. First there is the version with a processor of 2.53 Ghz, a 250 GB hard drive and a NVIDIA GeForce 9400 M graphic card and a price of 1.699 dollars. Then there is the version with a 2.66 Ghz processor, 320 GB of hard drive space and a NVIDIA GeForce 9400 M + 9600 M GT with 256 MB. This version has a price of 1.999 dollars. And finally there is the version with a processor of 2.8 Ghz, a 500 GB hard drive and a NVIDIA GeForce 9400 M + 9600 M GT with 512 MB. And the price for this one is 2.299 dollars.

And if you want all of the features from this model (Intel Core 2 Duo processor @ 2.8 Ghz, 4 GB of RAM, 500 GB hard drive and NVIDIA GeForce 9400 M + 9600 M GT with 512 MB) only with a 17 inch screen, you can choose the most expensive of the MacBook laptops, the one that costs 2.499 dollars. At this model you will also get an improved battery that can last for one more extra hour compared to the others, and it also has a Express Card / 34 slot.
