iPod Touch - The Perfect Gadget

I don't know about you, but I never had something to call "the perfect gadget," although I have a few ideas about it. First of all, it should come for free, and second, it must have all the features I need, as well as a few extra ones, "just in case..." Anyway, we're not going to talk about freebies now, because despite its price, the iPod Touch was recently crowned with 5 stars by BusinessWeek, making it a perfect gadget!

This wouldn't be such a big story, since a lot of sites are turning the iPod into a perfect gadget these days, burying it with thousands of awards, but now we're talking about a story that made it to the Apple Hot News page, and this is not something happening on a daily basis, as you probably know already. "Sitting “in a class by itself,” the new iPod
touch receives a perfect 5 stars from Cliff Edwards (businessweek.com)," proudly wrote Apple.

In the article entitled Apple's Superlative Sequel: The Latest iPod Touch, Cliff Edwards pointed out the great features of the iPod Touch, like the Wi-Fi connectivity, large screen(wait until the new Cowon high-end players arrive, and then call this one "large"!), as well as the impressive amount of applications available for it, but I think he wasn't fair in claiming that having "slightly underpowered external speakers" is something bad. If you ask me, no portable media player should have external speakers, because some people will always listen to the wrong music, in the wrong place, using a volume that's too high.

The conclusion is also something I have to disagree with, since saying that "A poor man's iPhone, the Touch offers wireless music downloads, mobile Web access, and hundreds of applications while on the go." doesn't exactly fit the "poor man" idea, at least the one I have. Better make it "an iPhone for the budget-conscious user who already has a decent phone and a good contract already," don't you think?

Anyway, the iPod Touch getting 5/5 stars is nothing but impressive, and that's what really matters, so if you're an Apple fan and a music lover, I suggest that you forget the Nano, because the Touch is the only way to go!
