iPhone Tips & Tricks

posted in gadgets, by Codrut Nistor

I don't know why, but when you think about iPhone tips, tricks, and support, most people trying to help you come up with solutions to help you improve your iPhone user experience or take out problems. When arriving to problems without solution yet(I am especially thinking about the lack of certain features, and the short battery life), most of those into giving iPhone tips and tricks will try to make them seem as small as possible, pushing forward the things that usually make most people buy the iPhone, like the design, the touchscreen, and the interface behind. Well, today we'll look at the iPhone from a slightly different angle...

...although I'll also use the classic approach, at least for some of the iPhone tips, tricks, and other interesting things that you can read below. Ready or not, here we go!

1. This one is for those still waiting to get the Apple iPhone. Look at your current phone - battery life, features that you really need, subscription costs, reliability and past problems. Think about it a lot, before taking the big step. Checking out the current iPhone 3G problems would also be a great idea!

2. Always back up everything! You never know when your iPhone could end up stolen, crashed, or in a lake, so backing up your precious contacts list
and multimedia content should be something you do as often as shaving(those wearing a beard, try to think about something else you do on a regular basis, like taking a shower).

3. If you need to reset the iPhone, it doesn't get easier than this - just Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep button. A white light flashes, the screen is powered off, then gets back on. Release the pressure once the screen is on again, and pray that this software reset method is enough to make everything work as supposed to!

4. Don't rush into firmware updates! Previous problems with firmware updates have shown that, in some cases, you may end up with a device having more problems than before. I think that waiting for a few days to check the feedback of those early updaters can't hurt, but it's your call, after all. If you want to be an early updater, just be sure to read again advice number 2, above.

5. At last, if you need to take a screenshot, here's how this can be done - just hold the Home button, and then click the Sleep button. As soon as you do this, the screen flashes white and the screenshot is being stored in your camera roll.

I know we only have 5 items checked in the long iPhone tips, tricks, and extra stuff list, but don't worry - we'll be back to this topic really soon, so be sure to check back on a regular basis, or - even better - subscribe to our news by email.
