We know that Apple will reveal iPhone 3.0 to the world on the 17th of March, and we're not talking about rumors here. No way! This time, a bunch of online and offline journalists were invited to the event scheduled for 10:00AM on Tuesday, March 17th, in the Apple Town Hall, the same place where the new unibody MacBooks and the iPhone SDK were introduced, one year ago.
Obviously, Apple won't say anything about the new features added by iPhone 3.0 software until the event, but the Push Notification Server for third parties is a safe bet, considering what we know already. Of course they won't stop here, but until we get to see the news coming from the chosen few invited at Cupertino, I guess we should wait.
Oh, yeah, one more thing - while the iPhone 3.0 software may be revealed in a few days, and maybe even become available for download, the iPhone 3.0 hardware update is expected to arrive a few months later, in June, at the WWDC.
