According to the federal class action lawsuit filed yesterday, Apple is hiding the fact that the new 20-inch iMacs have displays inferior to the previous generation, as well as those of the new 24-inch iMac. The worst part of it all is that, according to Kabateck, the new monitors are incapable of displaying millions of colors, while Apple advertises the opposite.
Brian Kabatech, Managing Partner of Kabateck Brown Kellner, said "Apple is duping its customers into thinking they're buying 'new and improved' when in fact they're getting stuck with 'new and inferior. Beneath Apple's 'good guy' image is a corporation that takes advantage of its customers. Our goal is to help those customers who were deceived and make sure Apple tells the truth in the future."
I don't know exactly what to say, because I don't have a 2007 iMac, but if the above proves to be true, I am sure Apple will do something. After all, the iMacs were always known for the good quality of their displays, so why would they do such a thing? Yes, I know, cutting costs, but when you cut customer satisfaction too, something is fishy...
