The next step for you is to create an account on iTunes, this is a very simple step because you will get all the instruction for your account onscreen. To transfer music you need to connect your iPod to high-power USB port on your computer. When you insert the iPod Shuffle in the USB port, iTunes will open and it will transfer tracks to your iPod. iTunes will transfer music according to your settings. iTunes gives you the possibility to make a lot of  playlists and you can set iTunes to import the playlist you made or to import the songs you like from the playlists. To delete tracks from iPod Shuffle you must connect it to your computer, open the Source list and then all you have to do is to select the songs you want to delete and then press the Delete key on the keyboard.

iTunes is an amazing software for your iPod. You have the possibility to set it to choose the songs for your iPod in a random way or in their order. You can also set it a selected playlist.

To make these settings you must connect your iPod to your computer and the open iTunes Source list. It you want iTunes to transfer music from a playlsit, you must choose playlist in "Autofill from" menu. If you want to transfer songs from your library choose Library from the same menu.

As it was said before, you can set iTunes to select and transfer random songs on your iPod, to do that you have to select the "Choose songs randomly" option. If you don't select this option, iTunes will transfers tracks in the order they appear in your Library or in your selected playlist. You have also the possibility to set iTunes to transfer higher rated track, to do that you must select "Choose higher rated songs more often" option. It you have a few songs on your iPod and you want to fill it up with tracks but you also want to listen to the songs you already have you must deselect the "Replace all songs when Autofilling" option and the when you select the Autofill button, iTunes will fill up your iPod without deleting the songs we already have.

To save a lot of space on your iPod Shuffle you can set iTunes to convert them from mp3 files to AAC files (this type of files use less space but they have the save sound quality as the mp3 files). To make this file change you must connect your iPod to your computer and in iTunes open the Source list and select the Options button and then select "Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC for this iPod" and then iTunes will convert the files format. Other file formats for iPod are: mp3, wav, AA and AAC.

iPod shuffle has the fallowing control buttons for songs: Volume up button, volume down button, next/fast-forward button, previous/rewind button, play/pause button, play in order button and shuffle songs button. You have also the possibility to go at the beginning of the list, to do that you must press the Play/Pause button 3 times very quick.

You also have the possibility to check your iPods battery status, to do that you must press the battery status button and if the light you see in green that means that the battery has a good charge and if the battery has amber light that means that the battery is low on charge. It the little is red that means you should recharge your iPod because the battery has a little charge left.
