Google Calendar is one of those extremely handy apps I never had enough time to use properly. Why use it? I don't know about you, but I always forget the birth dates of people otherwise very important to me. I wouldn't be amazed to forget my own birth date one day, and this is no joke...almost. I think only one day to be with the ones close to you and spend some quality time is not enough, so I simply treat every encounter like the other's birthday.

Now, back to Google Calendar. If you missed it so far, you only need to know this - you add the important dates to it, and you'll receive notifications when the time comes. What can be more convenient than having a calendar with all the important dates in your life properly setup, and receive all needed alerts via SMS?
I even have an answer to the above - Google Calendar, iPhone flavor! The story? Well, we're talking about the mobile version of Google Calendar, as the Google Mobile Blog says - "The new Google Calendar for mobile supports iPhone OS 2.2.1 and up and all Android-powered phones. It's available in English only for now, but more languages will be supported soon. For Apps users please go to google.com/m/a/yourdomain and click on Calendar."
Ta-taaa! Despite the fact its own Android is in direct competition with Apple mobile platform, Google plays fair. After all, Android is more like some experiment, in my opinion - and even if it fails, Google wins. How? That's what time will tell!
