Games and iMac

posted in iMac, by adimoga

Have you ever considered the fact that nowadays you can play ‘hard’ games,  such games that can be played only on specific modern computers? Today  computer games have become part of our daily life. Many of us play  computer games in order to forget even for a few minutes  all about the daily stress.

Many persons confirmed that this could be the first computer that  they would like to have in their living room, where all friends can see  it, and which they should not hide it. The design of iMac philosophy  remained the same for many Apple products, meaning an all-in-one computer that is both powerful and glamorous. Movies, websites, games everything looks great on 16:9 widescreen iMac display. From  now on, nothing gets between you and what’s onscreen. All models come in a thousand and one colors and at all resolutions. A technology IPS,  meaning in-plane switching made it all possible.

To reduce its environmental impact, iMac is designed with the following features: Arsenic-free display glass, BFR- free, high recyclable aluminum and glass enclosures, it also meets energy star 5.0  requirements. Moreover almost any device that connects via Bluetooth wireless technology, USB or audio cables will work with Mac.

One of the funniest things for most of us is playing the games. With the help of iMac you can play adventure, arcade and even funny iMac games. The latest technology has made it possible. All its applications ‘fly‘ thanks to Intel dual-core or quad-core processors which are standard on every day iMac. The latest 3D games, animations, HD movies and more are now brought to life due to their powerful graphics. iMac comes with a very fast graphics card. The 21.5 inch models and 27 inch models come with an ATI Radeon HD 5670 processor with 512 MB of GDDR3. It can handle multimedia tasks such as video editing.

When it comes to gaming on iMac there are pro and cons that should be considered. Though there are available on the market many faster graphic cards that can advance video game players, iMac does’nt allow users to  slot their own graphic cards in. That’s why, though not all the games can be played on any computer, the PC has an advantage against iMac because of the video card technology which must constantly evolve to  support the latest standards. You have  plenty of choices to upgrade a  PC’s graphic card. You can also use dual graphics capability, meaning using two cards if you want to have a better PC graphics card.   Upgrading a Mac is not always possible. If it is possible there is  limited hardware available that is typically very expensive.

Many people believe that it’s impossible to run Mac games on a  PC because of the incompatibility of the operating system and hardware.  But even with all these limitations, there is a way to run them on Mac.  For most popular games you only have to download the Emulator software on the PC, install it. This translates the game to the Mac.  With the help of DOS you can install Windows on the Mac. Also another way  is to get either MWare or VMWARE Fusion or Parallels which allows you  to run two OS’s in the same time on you’re the pc. All in all, run Windows at the same time with OS'10. You can easily install it. Another  way is to use bootcamp. Mac can be partitioned into a Windows computer.  The main difference is that you can't run them at the same time.
