When you write on Google “free MacBook” or “free something”, you will receive in the search result list, only results of people which say that they got a free computer by doing nothing, simply by registering on a site and waiting and waiting for the computer to arrive at their house. They even have proofs that demonstrate or are supposed to demonstrate that this is not a scam.
I am not convinced that this works, in fact I am pretty sure that it does not, otherwise why is not Apple the company that offers free computers? After all, Apple is the manufacturer, not those sites where you have to register. They say that you need to provide your real data, so that the seller, God knows who is the seller, to know where to ship the computer.
So, you will have to provide also the address where you actually live. They will have your name, surname, postal address, e-mail address, phone number. Don’t you think that this is a bit odd for something that even odder, wants to offer you a free computer. And the shipping will be supported by whom? By the company that ships the computer? you should not register on sites that actually send you computers if they pay for them, if you don’t know those sites, but to register and provide your data on some sites, just because you heard that a free thing will be delivered to you, this is something that you should not do. If you want something good, you better wait for the Christmas or the Easter to come, because there are the biggest promotions. There is also another chance to get a free MacBook, but you will have to pay the shipping. This is the correct method. If you participate at a contest and the prize is a MacBook, offered by some company, you can win the computer if you are lucky. Then, you will have to mention the address. Well, in that case, you can mention the address, but only if you know that you have participated at the contest.
There are persons, which are known as scammers, who keep sending you e-mails saying that you have won 1000 dollars or more or less. And they need your credit card number to send the money. Never provide this information online, not even to your bank. They will never ask for it online. And if there is truly your bank, who issued the card, they know your credit card number already.
