Fake iPhone…
...queues! Can you believe it? I understand those working to make fake iPhones, but why would one even bother to set up fake queues in front of the stores selling iPhones? Since it happens in Poland, I think we should look back a little into the history. If you didn't know, this country was, for a few decades, under Russian influence, and so a lot of normal things, like food, became luxury, and was often rationalized. Even this way, sometimes there wasn't enough, so very long queues were formed in front of stores, as it happened in most ex-communist countries at various times during the years before 1990. This lead to a very strong "herd mentality," and now it seems Orange Poland wants to take advantage of that!

According to an anonymous source that is implied in work for Orange's Polish branch quoted by Reuters, while some people paid pretty big amounts of money to be the first in line in the US, in Poland it's the other way around - people are getting paid to line up. If they would also give them iPhones for free, that would really be cool...
The anonymouse source said "We have these fake queues at front of 20 stores around the country to drum up interest in the iPhone,"
While potential buyers could stay away because Orange's subscription costs, the other carrier delivering the iPhone to Polish customers, Era, doesn't have really affordable plans for technology geeks either, since the base plan is $43 per month, offering 150 minutes/450 SMSs/500MB of data, but the next step already takes you up to $88, for 350 minutes/1050 SMSs/2GB of data. Regarding the premium plan...you don't want to know about it, believe me!
So, this is the new stuff regarding the fake iPhone queues in Poland. If sales are not going to be as good as expected, I wouldn't be surprised to see actors hired to walk on the street with "drone iPhones," just to make them more popular...:)
