Facebook For iPhone, Updated

posted in software news, by Codrut Nistor

Could you believe some people still use Hi5? Well, it's their choice, but when I decide to spare some time for social networking, Facebook is one of the first choices that comes from my mind straight to the address bar of my browser. The good thing is that, even if I would use an iPhone to browse the Web, Facebook got this part covered(Facebook for iPhone page), and now its iPhone version just got updated.

Less than a day ago, the Facebook client for iPhone and iPod Touch got up to version 2.1, and one of the most important changes reported is the occurrence of fewer crashes, as well as corrected timestamps for all time zones, improved sync time and faster loading of the inbox.

On the dark side, we have the requirement of version 2.2 iPod Touch/iPhone firmware, so if you're one of those using jailbroken terminals, you may need to hold back updating for a while. The reason is obvious - version 2.2 wasn't properly jailbroken yet, although some "Beta" stage tools are already available.

It seems it's getting harder and harder these days to hang on to your computer, when smartphones offer so much, only the screen size keeping them behind. Anyway, when the first smartphone with a holographic projector will appear, that will be the end of computers as we know them...
