Why wait? Just look at this - in France, Orange is pushing forward a promotional campaign, entitled "Christmas Origami star," which lasts from November 13th - the end of an earlier promotional cycle for Orange - until January 14th, way to go after Christmas! For now, all we know about it is that the 16 GB iPhone 3G will drop its price down to 129 EUR, roughly $165, from a previous 199 EUR, while the 8 GB could go as low as 99 EUR!
Last year, seeing cheap iPhone 3G beauties ready and willing lead European customers into a shopping spree, and now it seems Apple's products will put the so-called "crisis" once again to the test - can the cheap iphone 3G repeat last year's performance in France (and maybe other European countries), or not?
That's what remains to be seen, and considering the fact there's also a rumor saying Costco will sell the iPhone 3G starting at $149 in January, the future may be extremely bright for those who didn't enter the big iPhone 3G family just yet...
