On the date ofÂ September 5th, 2007 at Cupertino, in the state of California, they presented the iPod Touch, saying about it that is a next generation player .Being one of the most amazing and criticized PMP (portable media player) it have the commons typical features like audio and video playback, image viewing, supporting all kind of formats from the classic MP3 until the MPEG-4 and even the almost new Xvid type.
The iPod Touch is now on the 3rd generation, also known as 3G and differs from the 2nd generation, known as 2G, which is also available in the stores, because of its flash memory capacity and some new added functions. If 2G could stock only 8G of datas, now, the new 3G can be found in 2 models: 32 Giga or 64 giga.
Similar with the Apple's multi-touch track pad, the iPod Touch have a slim and light form, rounded edges and a rectangular shape. The Touch technology, developed by Finger Works, it is one of its principals features.
Under its Menu, you can find some applications, available for everyÂ type ofÂ Apple iPod : music, videos, photos, iTunes, Safari, Youtube, Calendar, Contacts, Clock, Calculator, and Settings . On the 3rd generation models was added also the Mail button and also the Maps, Stocks, Notes, and Weather, thanks to the upgraded software.
The Time magazine named the Apple's iPhone the invention of the year in 2007. Released on January 9, 2007, it was introduced on the United States, only in June 29, 2007, andÂ was upgraded to the 3rd generation, after 2 years, on 17 June, 2009.

Just like the Apple's iPod, the iPhone supports any kind of formats and have an e-mail function, web browsing, photo browsing and also, music browsing .
One of iPhone's important features is the incorporated Bluetooth 2.x+ EDRÂ which can support its special wireless headphones.
Like the iPod, the iPhone has an integrated battery, not user replaceable and it is charging when it is connected to a computer or to an AC outlet. It can sustain up to 24 hours of music or 250 hours standby.
Following its iPod brother, it was first released with an 4 GB or 8 GB stock capacity, and, when it was upgraded to 3rd generation it could sustain up to 32 or 64 Giga bytes. Unfortunately, the iPhones have only a flash memory and don't support a memory card like a MicroSd, SM or Multimedia Card.
The Apple Company,Â incorporated in its iPhone, also, the operating system used on iPods, known as iPhone OS or OS X iPhone, derived from the MAC OS X. This system use one of the most used core set, Darwin, which isÂ an open source, released at the beginning of 2000.
Some of the iPhone'sÂ disadvantages it is that they don't support Java or Adobe Flash, but they announced that they willÂ release some substitutes of this programs, like Java Virtual Machine or Flash Lite.
