Imac Mouse Won’t Right-click

The computer mouse is not simply a peripheral, but also a major component of my computer. At least that is my opinion. I know you can do a lot of things by using only the keyboard and there are still so many shortcuts and combos of keys that I do not know because I have always used the computer mouse instead. It's easier and more practical and also it takes very little time, because I am always keeping one hand on my mouse, so whatever needs to be done will be done in no time.

That is why it's a nightmare when my mouse does not work. I am sure most of you think this way , too. Just imagine for a few moments that your iMac mouse won't right click no matter what you do. And imagine that you have a lot of paperwork and lots of reports to finish by the end of the day. And all the commands for your iMac seem to need the right click. So what do you do then?

First of all remember that the mouse right click actually means to open the menu bar, right? Well, until you find an answer to your problem and fix it, keep in mind that there are also other ways of doing this, without using a mouse: you can either press "shift" and "F10" at the same time (I tried this combo of keys myself and it works perfectly) or press the special Menu button. I honestly tell you I had no idea I had this key on my keyboard until today - it's the key placed between the control key and the alt key.

The next step is to identify what kind of problem causes your mouse the fact that it can't perform the command it is supposed to. So, if your iMac mouse won't right-click try to find if it's a software or a hardware malfunction. So turn off the computer and unplug the mouse, then replace it with another mouse that you know for sure it's perfectly functional. Turn on the computer and see if this one works. If yes, it's a problem with your first mouse. So you will have to check it to see if there is something wrong with it. Do not try to open it, as you will only damage it.

These are no longer ball mice that gather all the dust and debris on your desk. Just turn it over and place it on a clean piece of cloth and try to press the scroll wheel down and roll it slowly and you might see some dirt coming out. This happens and after two minutes your mouse will work perfectly again. If you can't do it and it still won't work, take it to a specialist.

Then, if it's a software problem there might be something wrong with the drivers. Unintall them and then install them again, update them and then try again. It should work. Finally, if nothing solves the problem, reinstall the operating system. Good luck with solving the problem.

The all-in-one desktop from Apple is now faster and better with the new processor i5 or i7 and the new 27-inch display.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
If you read the online forum and article, they all state that the new iMac has some serious problems. Many of Apple iMac users got the new 27-inch or 24-inch iMac with a broken screen; most of the time this problem is in the lower left of the display. This is very frustrating when you purchase a very expensive computer with state-of-the-art technology, powerful processor and you receive it with a broken screen. This cracked screen problem is actually low on the Apple iMac problem list, because only 16% of the users with iMac problems got an iMac with broken display.

The most common iMac problem is a flickered screen, yellow screen or a screen that just went black. The flicker or the screen distortion happens randomly in the screen and the users described it as a horizontal bat popping in and out of the display. Sometimes the screen just goes black and like nothing happened it comes back on and this happens 2 or 3 times in a row. This is just wrong, although many users exchanged their Apple iMac, some of them had to exchange up to three computers before getting a problem-free iMac.

The best feature of the 27-inch iMac is the big screen, but when the screen comes with a dead pixel and a lot of dust underneath is not great anymore. This problem has been discovered by many users when they received their iMac, but Apple exchanged the computers with new and defect-free ones.

Last month, Apple said that the iMac display issues have been fixed thanks to its 2 software updates. If you have a problem with a yellow display or a display that just goes black, you should know that Apple resealed the 27-inch iMac Display Firmware Update 1.0 – this software is for late 2009 iMac models, so you can download and install it on your computer if you have some problems.

Although the new iMac has or had some problems, from the released of it in last October, the 27-inch iMac has become the third best selling computer and the 21.5 – inch model has taken the fist place. We still believe in iMac even it has some problems, because the computer looks great, actually is a beautiful computer with a high quality display. Whacking movies and videos on the screen is divine and we don’t have to forget about the game play that is great on the big screen.

The 27-inch Apple iMac has been a huge it with Apple users and the sales continue to grow because this computer is the best all-in-one desktop Apple has ever made. So, if you have an 27-inch Apple iMac and you have noticed yellowish tinges or flickering to the display, you should download the following updates: iMac Display Firmware Update 1.0 and iMac Graphics Firmware Update 1.0.

MacBook Pro Keyboard Is Not Working

MacBook Pro is a great laptop with many great features, but sometimes there is trouble in paradise, meaning that even MacBook can have some problems. One of the problems MacBook Pro has is the fact that its keyboard doesn’t respond from time to time.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
We are sure that many of you had at least once this kind of problem with their MacBook Pro and you find yourselves in the situation when the trackpad works just fine, but the keyboard is not working. The simplest solution to this problem is to restart the laptop and it works most of the time, because the problem is not the keyboard itself it the whole laptop, maybe the operating system has a problem or maybe a new software or application just installed make your MacBook Pro keyboard non-functional.

This isn’t just a MacBook problem, many computers have it and many times it is about the operating system or new software installed. If your keyboard responds after you restarted your computer, this could be the case we are talking about, but if the keyboard randomly stops responding and then starts to work like nothing happened, you should call AppleCare because it could be a bigger problem.

If your keyboard is unresponsive and after you restarted your MacBook Pro works just fine, try to download the latest software available for your operating system including keyboard update and see if the software just installed makes your keyboard work. If you can’t work with your trackpad try a USB keyboard or a wireless keyboard.

If your keyboard still doesn’t work after the restart and after the update, you should try to take out the battery of your MacBook Pro. You shouldn’t to this if your computer still has warranty, because you will lose it, but if it doesn’t have you can try to take out the battery all by yourself. We are saying this, because we found a forum online (check out Ibarclay.wordpress.com) where a MacBook user said that he found out the solution to its unresponsive MacBook Pro keyboard by removing the battery and seeing that the brown/darker orange cable was the one causing all the problems. The cable became warped because it had heated up to much and when the cable was pressed down the keyboard worked perfectly.

If you see this problem you should go to an authorized service to fix the cable, but if you need a temporary fix you should try to get a small piece of Scotch tape or any sticky tape and try to put the cable back into its place by rolling it up with the tape. After you did that, see if the keyboard is working by pressing the Caps Lock key.

If the keyboard is working put the battery back so that it presses on the ribbon cable and the sticky or the Scotch tape. In case you don’t want to mess around with your MacBooks Pro battery then you should take it to a service or try to press hard on the Caps Lock key and see if the keyboard works after that. We hope that this article will help you find the solution if your MacBook Pro keyboard is not working.

If you have ever wondered how to you erase cookies on your MacBook, this article will give you the information you need and the steps to take. Before we do that, let’s see what cookies mean; because everyone talks about them, but not everyone know what they mean.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
So, a cookie (also called browser cookie or tracking cookie) is a small text or a small piece of text stored on your personal computer by the web browser you are using. Cookies are not malware, because they are not executable which means that they can’t multiply themselves and they are not spyware or computer viruses, but they can slow down your computer. Everyone has cookies on their computer, because everyone uses the Internet or receives files from the Internet.

If you are using a MacBook you can erase cookies in 3 different ways. The first one is to delete them using Safari; to do that you have to open Safari and to click on “Preferences” option. When the dialog box appears, look for an icon called “Security” and click on it. Then you will see a page opening and you have to go under the preferences called “Accept Cookies” and you have to select the option “Show Cookies”.

This action will show you all the cookies you have stored on your computer. You have to possibilities: you can delete all the cookies at once or you can select the ones you want to delete and leave the rest. To delete all the cookies in the list, click on the “Remove” option and select “Remove all”, if you want to remove one cookie at a time, you have to highlight the cookies you want and click on the “Remove” button.

After that you can click on the “Done” button, close the Preferences box and continue surfing on the web. This is for those of you who are using Safari as their Internet browser, but many of you use Firefox on their MacBook, so in the next line we will tell you how to erase cookies in Firefox.

The first step is to select the “Preferences” option and when the dialog box appears look for the icon called “Privacy” and click on it. Then you have to select the “Show Cookies” option which will show you all the cookies stored in your web browser. Deleting the cookies uses the same step in Firefox as in Safari, so if you want to delete all the cookies click on the “Remove all Cookies” option and if you want to delete individual cookies highlight them and click on the “Remove Cookies” option.

As you can see is very easy to delete cookies, but if you want to have a program that does all the work, you will find online a lot of software that automatically delete the cookies from your computer. For example, you can try Mac Cleanse – a software that removes web site history, cookies, caches, file history and more. Other software are: CookieCrumbler, Delete Cookies, Auto Clear Cookies, Cookie Editor, Real Clear Cookies, Super Clear Cookies, Cookie Killer and more.

Disadvantages Of Apple iPhone

Apple iPhone is a very useful smart-phone that comes with a lot of great features like: music player, built-in camera, e-mail, Wi-Fi connectivity, web browsing, caller ID, games, calendar and a lot of other features and applications. But today we are not going to talk about Apple iPhone advantages and we are going to talk about disadvantages of Apple iPhone.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

The first disadvantage is, of course, AT&T and the two-year contract you have to sign if you want to purchase an Apple iPhone from them. And this is not all when we talk about AT&T, because we can’t leave behind the interruptions in service and the limits on the coverage. Many of you were put in the situation when they wanted to make a very important call, but the lack of signal made it impossible to dial. This is just wrong and very annoying.

The next disadvantage is the fact that Apple iPhone only supports a SIM that has been activated for that specific mobile phone, which means that if one of your friends runs out of battery on his iPhone, you cannot borrow him your iPhone to make a call with his SIM card because it won’t work with your iPhone.

The fact that you can’t upgrade the phone’s memory is also a disadvantage. You have the memory that Apple wants you to have and that is all. We are not saying that the memory provides by Apple iPhone is not enough for most of us, but it would be great to have the possibility to upgrade the memory. A great advantage could have been the possibility to add a memory card to upgrade the memory.

Many Apple iPhone users are unhappy, and so are we, with the fact that the Apple iPhone battery cannot be changed and the fact that it is sealed. And this is not all when you are talking about the iPhone battery because many users say that the battery life of the phone is short and when they are using the 3G feature the battery life is quite poor.

iPhone 3GS has a 3 – mega pixel camera, but many of you have Apple iPhone 3G which has a 2 – mega pixel camera. These cameras are not decent for a phone, but if we make a comparison between iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, the camera is a big plus for iPhone 3GS because is comes with video recording, autofocus and the 3 mega pixels make better photos than the 2 – mega pixels.

A huge disadvantage with all Apple mobile devices, including iPhone, is the fact that they don’t allow users to transfer data and information from the PC to the device through a USB cable without using applications like iPhoto and iTunes. This is very disappointing, because all iPhone users spend a lot of time importing songs and data into their device.
