Burning DVD from iMac

First of all, you have to know about iMac computers that are a Macintosh member which are built on the world’s most advanced operating system, on Mac OS X. Thanks to its features, you have the opportunity to enjoy the images on high quality, try the latest appeared software programs, play the most recent games and surf on the Internet.

In case that you want to multiple disks you have the opportunity to burn your selected files. In this article you will find the steps that you have to take in consideration in case that you want to burn DVD from your iMac computer. Thanks to this process you can share easily your files and programs with your family. In order to start the burning process, tip number one is to insert into the iMac computer’s optical drive a blank DVD. In case that the system doesn’t recognize it automatically, you have to open “System Preferences” menu from where you have to choose “DVD” option. You will find the optical drive easily because in iMac computer’s case it is situated on the right hand side.



Tip number two is to choose a name for your DVD. Soon appears a window where you have to type the title and you have to select its format, too. Finally you can click on “OK” button. Tip number three is to choose from the folders the files that you want to burn on your iMac computer. You have the opportunity to choose between pictures, videos, music, movies, documents, programs and applications. After you have selected the settings, you can go to “File” menu from where you have to choose “Burn” option. In case that you will not find the “Burn” button, it means that your computer is not able to burn disks. In this case you have to talk with the computer’s administrator. It can also happen that the DVD that you have inserted into the optical drive is not blank. You have the possibility to verify if your system is able to burn DVDs. For this process, you have to click twice on “System Profiler” option which is situated under the “Utilities” folder.



Then you have to choose “Disk Burning” tab. In case that on the entry appears “RW” or “R”, you have to know that your iMac computer is capable to burn disks. Before you start the burning process, you have to know that you can view the files that you want to burn on the DVD and the amount of space left. In case that you want to burn little amount of files, it is advisable to burn a CD because it contains a smaller memory size. You have to follow the above presented instructions in CDs case, too.
