Backlit Keyboards on MacBook Pro

Don’t forget to disconnect all the USB and Firewires that you have connected to your MacBook. Then you have to place your gadget on a clean and flat surface where you will work with it. In order to not scratch the monitor, it is better to place your MacBook upside down on a soft and clean cloth. In order to avoid the shock it is advisable to use the wristband. The step number two is to remove the screws that are located on your laptop’s bottom side. After you have removed them successfully you have the possibility to disconnect the bottom cover. Then you have to remove the battery, too. For the step number four you will need the spudger which you have to insert at the fan’s upper side in order to remove it. Then you have to disconnect the logic board. For this process you will need the T6 screwdriver in order to remove the screws that are located at your computer’s right corner.


The step number five is to take out the bracket and the AirPort Extreme antennas which you can raise off the board with the spudger. After you have removed the screw from the middle of the hinge you have to disconnect the Philips screws, too which you will find easily in the optical drive. Then you have to place your MacBook on end you can remove the screen carefully. Finally, you can also replace the trackpad. For this process it is better to hold your gadget upside down and remove the screws which hold the MacBook’s trackpad to the case. After you have made these changes you can place the new trackpad to its proper location.
