The Netflix collaboration with Apple has been very well received by persons interested in their products all over the world. This has been announced to be the third collaboration of this kind between Apple Inc and Netflix and many of those who have been interested in the second generation of Apple TV products have been very appreciative of this feature. This collaboration enables Apple TV users to instantly have access to movies and TV shows that can be found on Netflix and watch them directly on their Apple TV.
The main goal as it was presented by Steve Jobs on August, 2010 is that of making it possible for such movies and TV shows from Netflix to be possibly watched on other devices that Apple Inc makes available to their clients because many of them have shown an interest in this possibility. The new Apple TV has been estimated to cost about $99 and the Netflix streaming capabilities have been mentioned among the most important improvements presented by this new product. 99-cent TV rentals from ABC and Fox have also been presented as possible in the case of the second generation of Apple TV. In what concerns its connectivity features, it can be mentioned the fact that they have been reduced as well, which means that the new Apple TV will present only five connectivity ports as it follows: optical digital type of output, HDMI, Ethernet, UBS and certainly the power connectivity.
Another interesting aspect to be presented when discussing about the new generation of Apple TV is represented by the fact that it does not present onboard type of storage. The new Apple TV , in the case of which Netflix streaming has been enabled will enable its users with the possibility of switching form watching a certain video on their iPod to their Apple TV but what has not been actually defined is the type of content that users will be able to use in this case. And this refers to YouTube or I-Tune rentals that users might or might not make use when being interested in using this new function having been enabled for them.
The new Apple TV is a product that many Apple fans have waited for and many of its features will certainly be better revealed in the future as users will be able to actually see the way in which this device functions and the way in which they can benefit from using it.
