Apple iPhone Vs Palm Pre

posted in Useful Info, iPhone, by BindApple

Yes, iPhone is one of the best smartphones on the market. Yes, Apple sent millions of dollars in marketing campaigns to makes us believe it's best product available on the market. Coolest thing? They actually succeed it. How many of you out there own an iPhone, how many of you wanted one at a certain point and really, how many of you bought it just because it's cool and everybody should have one? I know there are pleanty from each category, because 50 million copies worldwide weren't sold to I do not know who, but to average people, cool people, famous people, youngsters, middle aged people and even kids. So, how many of you still think Apple's iPhone is ithe best on the market?

Sure, it's the phone with the largest number of features, programes and gadgets available, with almost an infinite of options to personalize it, but for its first price of 599 USD or 499 USD for the smaller version, shouldn't it be fabulous? Comparisons with other phones have been made also plenty. And because it's best known phone worldwide, many surprisignly big companies decided to release similar models on the market in order to outcome its popularity. Again, guess what? They didn't. The iPhone is still the best sold smartphone of all times, with over 50 million copies in it's three generations: the original, the 3G and the 3GS model released in 2009.

So, as for another comparison on the market, in this round we present you the allmighty of telephones, the king of the kings and the best known product from Apple (besides iPods, iPads, iMacs iSomething-depends-on-what-comes-in-mind), the immortal iPhone (I actually hope will live more than the Highlander). On the other corner, another product from another well known brand of smartphones, the leader on the US market next to Blackberry company, the Palm. In the end, it comes down to the iPhone vs the Palm Pre version. It's the big question, isn't it? Sprint vs. AT&T, Palm vs. Apple, physical keys vs. solo touchscreen. Which is better? Well, depends on what you consider useful to a phone; if you buy one phone to only use it as a phone, you can as well recycle your grandparent's first models of Nokia or Alcatel. If you want a smartphone, again, the market is very attractive and there are thousands of models that are being compared with the more popular iPhone in order to realize once and for all, what is actually the thing that makes us spend up to 200 bucks more on brand products. iPhone isn’t for everyone. AT&T isnt for everyone. To mince words over the total cost of ownership on a brand level like this is misleading when you take into account false savings like rebates, and don’t compare units on a spec for spec basis. The iPhone 3G is very comparable to the Palm Pre in terms of capability, and capacity. At a third of the price, it’s actually a bargain as well.

And as much as I hate to say it, I think I would go for the iPhone on this round only. Extra points for the design.
