Apple iPhone Os 3

posted in Apple, by adimoga

The iOS is an operating system developed by Apple Inc., intended to run on their touch screen based devices, like the iPod  portable media player, the iPad tablet computer, and also the iPhone Internet and multimedia enabled smartphones.

In time, Apple made several major updates to this operating available system, and one of those major updates is the iOS 3.0, which of course, brings new features and   applications to the table. If you were expecting numerous features added to this update, then it's your lucky day, because the iOS 3.0 brings over 100 new applications and features, including the long-awaited "cut and paste" feature.

The Cut and Paste feature is something Apple and iPhone fans have awaited since the release of the original iPhone smartphone, back in 2007. Since then, Apple continued to  promise this feature but it has never made it until this year. So how does it work? By double-tapping a text, you make a dialog bubble appear, in our case, the cut and paste dialog  bubble. By double-tapping it again, when summon the paste bubble, if there's anything stored on the clipboard. This nice little feature works across applications. You can use your thumb to expand your  selection, and if you paste something that shouldn't be pasted, you can always undo it by shaking telephone a  little. This feature also works on photos. You can now easily select some photos, and paste them into an e-mail.

The new Spotlight feature takes searching to a whole new level. This  feature will let you search the entire data stored o your phone, reckless of its location. Applications that have been written to support the new  Spotlight feature, then they will be available to be searched for as well. The  Mail, Calendar and iPod applications have their own search engines. The  search on the Mail application does not support messages yet, but it does support IMAP servers, which makes logging into your GMail account even easier.

Another feature added in the 3.0 update is the 3G Thetering feature. This tiny feature lets you use your iPhone 3G  to connect to a laptop.  Basically, this feature transforms the iPhone  into a modem. It is  probably that carriers have to sign off on this, and charge more, but none of them have announced themselves right after the release of the update. Mail, SMS or Notes, are applications that have earned the possibility of having a landscape keyboard, through  updating to iOS 3.0.

If not being able to send someone  an e-mail because they have a  phone which doesn't support it bothers  you, then you will be happy to  find out that the new iOS 3.0 offers a multimedia messaging feature  (MMS) that allows you to send photos, text, sound, or cards, all in the same message. While some people find this useless, some believe it to be quite handy.
