Apple Event – 2008, September

posted in news, by Codrut Nistor

For Apple, it seems it's showtime all around the year, no matter if they are releasing new products or not. After all, there are plenty of software applications and accessories for their products good enough to celebrate at least every weekend, and despite all problems caused by their rapid growth in the last years, Apple is going stronger than ever. Anyway, the problem - at least to me - is that almost half of their products are pretty old by today's standards, so a refresh is needed, especially for the older iPods, but not limited to them. Now, since we have an Apple event expected to take place next month, everyone is looking forward to get all they want...but is this going to happen?

What's going to happen remains a mistery, but before moving to serious stuff, let's see what the "Fake Steve Jobs" has to say about it, in his blog:"Today, history is made. Fifty years from now people will look back and mark this date as the turning point when the shackles of 20th-century media and telephony and film and TV and print were thrown off, shrugged away like so much heavy useless armor."

You know what the funniest part of this entire thing? Apple didn't make any official statement yet, but everyone is considering this September event to be certain, and most of them think that refreshed iPods will become available, maybe even a new touch-screen iPod!

In the meantime, a lot of rumors regarding updated Cinema displays are spinning around, not to mention those regarding the redesign of the MacBook and MacBook Pro lines.

Just as before, my guess is we'll get some new iPods, maybe some refreshed Macs and - hopefully - a big surprise. Regarding that surprise, I really don't know what to say, but if one would ask me what I'd like to see, my wish is a game console from Apple. What about you?
