April 1,1976,represented the start of what would become a great company.The founders,Jobs,Wozniak and Wayne,developed a computer kit called Apple I.It was manually built and represented less than a computer of today,lacking a display,keyboard and case,but having other components such as video chip,RAM,an motherboard.The price of the Apple 1 was $666.66 which means $ 2.5 thousand in 2010 dollars.
The company was incorporated on January 3,but without Wayne which sold his share of Apple to the other two for the price of $800. Steve Jobs worked on the "Lisa" project until 1982 when he was kicked out of the team due to infighting,and took over project Machintosh.A war begun as they didn't know which product they will release first,Lisa or Machintosh.In the end,they released Lisa,which became the first personal computer with GUI,intended for public,but it was a failure as the limited titles and high price resulted few buyers.
In 1993,Apple launched its first tablet computer,the Newton MessagePad 100.The success of this product resulted other Newton-based PDAs,and later on,the portable music player called iPod.The release of iPod back in 2001 and the release of the iPhone in 2007 brought Apple back on working on mobile computing.By late 2009,there were rumors about a potential product called iSlate or Apple's Tablet,or iTabled.All those rummours where not confirmed as 2010 came and alongside it,the release of Apple's latest creation and inovation,the Apple iPad.
The iPad is a Apple computer designed as a tablet.The main purpose of the iPad,the same at it is being marketed for,multimedia satisfaction.This means you can use the iPad for music,games,books,movies,and internet.The tablet is light as most contemporany computers and notebooks,as it has only 700 grams.On April 2010,Apple release the Apple iPad.80 days later,the company registered a total number of 3 million copies of the iPad sold.
The pad was developed on the same engine as the iPhone and iPod Touch.It has applications of its own that it can run but it also offers the possibility to run some applications intended for the iPhone.The pad only accepts programs approved by Apple and provided by Apple on its official online store.Different from other tablet computers that use a pressure-triggered system,the iPad uses a touchscreen technology implemented on the iPod Touch and iPhone as well.
The pad presents advantages as it is easier to transport than a laptop and slight lighter too.It can only have advantages as disadvantages are out of discussion due to the existence of everything on the iPhone on the iPad as well.
