The Apple MacBook computer has always been defined as being this amazing laptop that everyone would love to own. I could never really figure out what was so special about Apple laptop, except for the fact that they were Apple products and people associated them with high quality material. It is true that Apple has brought a lot of amazing product on the market, starting with the iPod and straight up to the iPad but I never found Apple laptops to be something out of the ordinary. Except for the Apple MacBook Air which was designed to be the thinnest laptop in the world, I have always found Apple laptop too expensive for what they have to offer. However, back in 2007, the Apple MacBook computer is really something else.
The Apple MacBook in this review is based on a 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7400 processor and 1 GB of RAM. The amount of storage space with which this laptop was equipped is 160 GB and the graphics card found on this laptop is the integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950. The operating system found on this laptop is the Mac X 10.4. The dimensions of this laptop are 12.8 x 8.9 x 1 inches while the total weight of the system is about 5.2 pounds.
This is not exactly the best choice for an ultra portable but it is one worth taking into consideration if you really feel you want an Apple laptop. This laptop comes with a 13.3 inch display that has a native resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. This resolution offers nothing special compared even to newer netbooks but I guess it’s ok when you don’t plan on using this laptop as your primary computer. The glossy finish of the display is bound to guarantee an improved brightness of pictures and good levels of contrast. However, reflection can be bothering when using this laptop under bright light.

Under the display you shall find a beautiful keyboard and a touchpad which is acceptable in size for such a small laptop. You will find the spacing between the keys very comfortable when typing. The selection of ports and features is very important, even if we are dealing with a 13 inch ultraportable. The unit of this Apple laptop comes with 2 USB ports, one mini DVI port, a FireWire port and the regular headphones out and microphone in jacks. I can sense that a lot of users will not be happy with the missing card readers. In terms of networking, you get an included Bluetooth adapter and one Ethernet port.

This Apple laptop comes with a lot of preinstalled software. You can always get the Microsoft Office for Mac but you do have applications that allow you to created DVDs and there are also applications that allow you to watch movies and listen to music. As for the battery performance, you will manage to watch a movie of 3 hours and 10 minutes until the laptop shuts down. This is a decent score for a 13 inch laptop.
