App Store – Read Reviews, Don’t Write!

posted in news, by Codrut Nistor

I know people who buy various things without even bothering to check some reviews first, and they start complaining. The sad part is that most of these people happen to be my friends, and no matter what I do, they usually ask for my help after doing the evil deed. If they could only spare a few minutes to read reviews, as I do - but that's life - you can't be perfect, and if you don't even want to change, well... that's life, as I was saying...
App Store read reviews

When talking about Apple's App Store, to read reviews is also a must, but if you get some program, or simply play with it on a friend's iPhone, writing reviews is also something you should do. Unfortunately, Apple decided to disallow feedback from non-customers, but that happened after thousands of such comments got published.

That was happening last September, but now everything is clean - if you're simply a visitor of the App Store, read reviews, but don't write until you become a customer, that's the catch. A few days ago, Apple finished taking out all non-customer reviews, but if this was a smart thing to do or not...that remains to be seen.

Let's not forget about those who got their iPhone with apps already installed, or those who still play with their friends iPhones, trying to figure out if their money will be wisely spent on such a phone or not. What about them, Apple?
