3G iPhone Rumors

While the main questions about the 3G iPhone everybody asks are "why," "when," "how expensive" and "what are going to be the technical specifications," one of the latest rumors related to Apple's upcoming mobile phone answers another interesting question, "how many." Anyway, today we'll talk about more things just one rumor, but all will have one thing in common - the 3G iPhone. OK, these being said, let's go!


First, let's talk about the numbers of the 3G iPhone. Unfortunately, we have no numbers regarding its technical capabilities, but since I already heard this at least twice in the last 24 hours, I guess it can't be completely wrong. Ladies and gentlemen, no matter how incredible it may seem (at least to me), Apple has ordered no less than 25 million 3G iPhones! Yes, that's right, 25 million, 25 followed by nine zeroes, about twice as more as the number of iPhones sold so far!

Before we move on, let me tell you that the info regarding those 25 million 3G iPhones comes from Commercial Times, a Chinese site, and apart from the number, they also claim the company to manufacture these iPhones is Foxconn. Now, let's move to another interesting report about the iPhone, this time coming from the US...

According to Fortune's Scott Morris, "AT&T is preparing to subsidize $200 of the cost of a new iPhone, bringing the price down to $199 for customers who sign two-year contracts, the source says. Apple is expected to have two versions of the new iPhone, an 8-gigabyte-memory and a 16-gigabyte-memory model with price tags widely expected to be $399 and $499."

As usual, Apple and AT&T didn't say anything yet, but that must happen sooner or later.

Finally, it seems everyone is looking forward to the WWDC08 conference, which is going to be held in San Francisco, Moscone West, between the 9th and 13th of June. Needless to say what we expect to happen then...
