So let’s discuss about another of the many Apple products, and for this article we’ll choose the iMac desktop computer. This model was introduced back in 1998 and it is the main desktop computer made by Apple. The first one was the iMac G3, and you can see it here in the following image.

When you look at this computer, first you might think that it is just a simple CRT monitor, but it is actually the entire computer. It has a better RAM memory of 4 GB, and bigger hard drive of 500 GB, an Internal Super Drive, Airport Extreme and Bluetooth installed, and ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro video card, built in iSight and it comes with the OS 10.5.2 installed. (the OS CD is also included).

If you want an iMac with a smaller display screen, you can choose the iMac 17 “ with a Intel Core 2 Duo (1.83 Ghz) processor for 759 dollars. This is an older version, so its technical details are not as powerful as the ones found on laptops today. It has just 512 MB of RAM memory, a hard drive of 160 GB, Airport Extreme installed, OS 10.4.10 installed (without the CD) and also a warranty of 90 days.

And if you want something even cheaper, then you can choose an iMac with a screen of just 15 inch. These are older models, so their prices are also much smaller (between 100 and 300 dollars). For example you can buy an used LCD iMac G4 700 for just 169 dollars. And this one will have a RAM memory of 640 MB, a hard drive of just 40 GB, an internal CD-RW, an internal 56 k modem, a 15 inch TFT display, and an installed OS 9.2.2. and 10.4.11.

It is a big multinational company which makes different kinds of electronic devices. Today it has more than 35000 employees and some of its products are: the Mac computers, the iPod, the iPhone, the Mac OS X operating system, the Apple laptops – the MacBooks, and others.

Today we’ll discuss more about one of the laptops made by Apple, and we’ll choose the MacBook Air laptop. You can choose between 2 different models from this series, and for today we’ll discuss about the one that is the cheapest. It may not seem cheap for most of the people, but it is cheaper compared to the other version and it costs 1,500 dollars (other models can cost 2,000 dollars or more). The processor of this model is the Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 1066 MHz frontside bus @ 1.86 Ghz and the RAM memory has 2 GB. It has quite a small hard drive with a capacity of 120 GB and a speed of 5400 rpm while the graphics engine is a NVIDIA GeForce 9400 M with 256 MB of RAM video memory. So as you can see, these features are not so powerful…and especially for a price of 1500 dollars. Now you might ask yourself why would you pay so much to receive such “weak” features, when you can buy a much more powerful laptop with these money. Well the main reason is the design.



Not only that it is a white and elegant laptop, but it is also very slim and very light. It has dimensions of just:
-Height - 0.16 - 0.76 inch (0.4 - 1.94 cm)
-Width - 12.8 inches (32.5 cm)
-Depth - 8.94 inches (22.7 cm)
and a Weight of just 3.0 pounds (1.36 kg)

So because it is so light and so slim, you can easily carry it wherever you go. In terms of weight and dimensions it can be compared to a netbook, only that it has much better features than a netbook. And also its display screen is bigger. Most of the netbooks have a display screen of 10 inch, but this MacBook air laptop has one of 13 inch. You can choose one of the many resolutions supported by this display screen, such as: 1280 by 800, 1152 by 720, 1024 by 640, and 800 by 500 pixels at 16:10 aspect ratio; 1024 by 768, 800 by 600, and 640 by 480 pixels at 4:3 aspect ratio; 720 by 480 pixels at 3:2 aspect ratio.



Among the other features found on this laptop there are: and audio out port, a mini display port, an USB 2.0 port, analog audio output / headphone out, a b uilt in speaker, Bluetooth and wireless technology, a 40 watt Lithium Ion battery  which can last for up to 5 hours, a 78 keys keyboard and also a TouchPad device with Multi Touch gesture support. And the features of this touchpad device are: two finger scrolling, pinch, rotate, swipe, three finger swipe, four finger swipe, tap, double tap, and drag capabilities.

After all this MacBook Air laptop may not have the best technical details on the market, but it definitely has one of the slimmest and most elegant designs.
