Apple is one of the best known company in the electronic field. Because of their competitive spirit, their original ideas, their targets, the customer needs Apple becomes a feared player in the consumer electronics industry. Their ingenious ideas lead to a general conclusion concerning the image of the Apple company: innovative, trendy, genius, funny, functional, easy to use.

In this century of speed Apple is the first company who brings us a new age of smart phones called Apple iPhone. This ingenious electronic product that was defined by director Steve Jobs as “ a revolutionary and magical product that is literally five years’ ahead of any other phone” receive attention from media, press and other important and well known companies like Cisco for example.

Why is iPhone the one who you’ll fall inlove with? iPhone is more then a simple telephone. It combine three important and very necessary things in today’s life in just a single device: a mobile telephone, an IPod with widescreen display and an internet conection device. This 3 in one device that became available on June 29, 2007 in the United States had an enormous success, later on, in the United Kingdom, Germany, France and a lot of other countries. With this trendy device that includes features like multimedia capabilities, camera, media player, visual voicemail, web browsing, e-mail, Wi –Fi and 3G connectivity you can control all the actions on iPhone by a simple click, a touch. By combining hardware characteristics with the most advanced operating system Apple redefined the word mobile phone, now called iPhone. In addition all this applications do synchronize with your computer: a MAC or a PC.

Because of all these new capabilities: touch screen with intelligent sensors that can even capture the data input from a virtual machine, internet services, multimedia options and various applications like GPS, maps, incorporated in a small and light device all iPhone users encounter a huge problem called: “ White Apple Logo Screen of Death”. When an application wants to install or to update, during the process the iPhone is interrupted by something and it reboots it’s system. When the file system mounts the iPhone stops responding. At this point of view many people think that their phone is bricked and they return it to the Apple Store. The bad thing is the fact that even the replacement phones have the same problem. One of the solutions of this big problem is to restore the iPhone by pressing Sleep/ Wake and Home several times. Sometimes it could take hours in trying to get the iPhone world back or users could encounter error messages. Apple company strongly recommends to update each application or feature at a time and not update all in a single time. In addition it is strongly recommended not to perform other applications when the update process is working.

The common problem about the white screen and sleep state non responsive seems to be a hardware issue that cannot be easily resolved. It could appear when the iPhone goes to sleep or when something is going wrong with the screen power. When new applications are installed the iPhone system crashes or frozes. In order not to have unhappy experiences use: iTunes to install or update applications, do not interrupt backups.

The iOS 4.0.1 Software Update has an implemented improved formula which can decide how many bars of signal strength will appear on the display of iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G. The actual signal power is in fact the samel appear on the display o a good place among woldwide', but the bars on iPhone will show it more precisely.
The new iOS 4.0 and the original iPhone (or the iPod touch) are not compatible. iPhone 3G and second-gen iPhone touch devices will obtain the update, but key features will be missing.Current generation iPod touch, together with the 2009 iPhone 3GS, will receive all the new features, including multitasking, folders, wallpapers, unified inbox, multiple Exchange accounts and more.

The first appearance of iAds will be Apple's next step. This will happen immediately after the current upgrade is complete and the first iPhone 4s are made available for the customers. The first placeholders for iAids are starting to evolve now with some applications. More certain versions are expected to follow. Apple has organized all the business concerns for the software upgrade in silence. For instance, within the iTunes 9.2 Devices menu the image of the iPhone has changed from a basic 3GS to a 3GS featuring the iOS4 wallpaper.
If you want to get the update you must first connect your device to iTunes and follow some simple steps required.
Three key features will make the race for this upgrade to be worth.

1) Multi-tasking
This requires your apps be multitasking-ready. Fundamentally in future, you will be able to keep on listening to music while navigating from one app inside another.

2) Folders
You will be able to group all your apps inside logical collections so that you nested inside folders due to the introduction of Folder. With iOS4 you will be able to group all your games together, or all your social networking apps. You can store up to 12 apps inside each folder.

3) iBooks
iBooks are available for the iPad since that successful product got to the streets, and it is sure that iBooks will come to the iPhone. And even better, when you close a book on your iPhone and then open it again on another device, such as an iPad, your bookmarks etc. will all be in the same place.

Other features that make this upgrade desirable are the Gift apps, which permits you to send apps to your friends and family, the 5xdigital zoom, which allows you to get closer to your subjects by a zoom in up to 5 times, the Spell checking, which works in Mail, Notes and other apps, and it is a built-in dictionary with automatic suggestion of words and correction of spelling mistakes, and the Wireless keyboard support, based on Bluetooth wireless technology.

Upgrading your iPhone to the new iOS 4.0.1 Software is not necessarily an easy operation. Apple's servers will be overwhelmed as millions of users try the upgrade.
