The notebooks are getting more and more popular these days, and they are bought by a lot of people instead of a desktop computer. And we can understand why some people prefer to spend some extra money for a laptop.

It has all the features of a computer, and is capable of doing the same tasks, only that it is much smaller and lighter. So it is highly portable, meaning that you can take it anywhere you want with you. There are many producers of notebooks and some of the best names are: HP, Dell, Asus, Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo, MSI, Fujitsu and Apple.

Today we’ll focus on just one of these companies, and we’ll choose Apple. It is a big multinational company that offers a lot of cool electronic devices and software products, such as: the iPod, the iPhone, the iPad, the iMac computer, the MacBook , the Mac OS X operating system or the iTunes Store. Today we’ll discuss about the laptop offered by Apple, which is the MacBook. There are actually three different series of Apple notebooks : the MacBook, the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air, each of these series with one or many models available.

Today we’ll discuss about the simple version of MacBook with a 2.26 GHz processor and a 13 inch display screen. It is a cool looking laptop, made with a unibody design. It has just 1.08 inches thin and a weight of just 4.7 pounds meaning that it is highly portable and you can use it anytime you need and anywhere you go. But even though it is small and light, this doesn’t mean that it is not resistant, and thanks to the materials it is quite tough. It comes with a 13.3 inch LED backlit widescreen display which will offer you great colors and a good movie experience. It supports a resolution of up to 1280 x 800 pixels.

As you can see it has a full size keyboard (all the keys except the numeric ones) and the keys are curved to contain your fingers and to give a comfortable writing experience. And below the keyboard you will find the Multi Touch trackpad (which has the role of the mouse). But as you can see, it doesn’t have any buttons like a regular TouchPad, and it has a special technology which allows you to click anywhere on the pad. you can also use the right-click function, two finger scroll and it even has special features such as: pinch to increase the font size in a document, rotate your fingers to reorient pictures or swipe to navigate through internet pages.

On one of the sides of the laptop you will find most of the ports you need such as: MagSafe power, Gigabit Ethernet, Mini Display Port, USB, and audio in/out. Since they are all on the same side (and not some on the left side and others on the right) it means that your cables will stay well organized and it will be really easy for you to connect or disconnect all of the cables. The MacBook has dimensions of: Height - 1.08 inches (2.74 cm), Width: 13.00 inches (33.03 cm), Depth: 9.12 inches (23.17 cm) and a weight of    4.7 pounds (2.13 kg).

But enough with the exterior, let’s see what it has inside. And now here are the technical details for the MacBook laptop:

iMac Display Line

The iPod, the iPhone, the iPad, the iMac computer, the MacBook laptop, the Mac OS X operating system or the iTunes Store…here are some names of famous electronic devices and software products. If you are wondering what all of these products have in common, well the answer is simple: they were all produced by the same company – Apple. Apple is a big multinational corporation with the headquarters in the United States of America and with many other factories and stores all over the world.

Today we are going to focus on just one of the many products offered by Apple, and we’ll choose the iMac computer. This type of computer was introduced in 1998 and then it was called the iMac G3. the next model was the iMac G4 and the newest generation, that is available today is the iMac G5. and about this product we are going to discuss about today.

Not only that it is a slim and very cool looking computer, but it also full with a lot of complex features and advanced technologies. The first thing you will notice about it is the display screen. It is available with display screens with a size from 21.5 inch to 27 inch diagonal, and it will offer you great and rich colors thanks to the LED backlit technology.

It has a 16:9 aspect ratio meaning that you will be able to enjoy movies in High Definition. The 21 inch screen has a max resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, while the 27 inch screen has a great resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. So imagine how many things you will be able to do in the same time and how many programs you can keep on the screen when having such a big screen and such a high resolution. And this is not all, because this screen offers a good image from any perspective you are watching thanks to a premium display technology called “in plane switching”.

But this computer doesn’t just look good, but it also performs very well thanks to the advanced processor, RAM memory and graphics engine. Actually there are 4 available models, each one with its own technical details. The cheapest version (compared to the others, because it is not such a cheap product) it the iMac with a 21.5 inch and a Intel Core 2 Duo processor @ 3.06 Ghz. This one has 4 GB or RAM memory, a 500 GB hard drive, a 8x double layer Super Drive, a NVIDIA GeForce 9400 M graphics card and a price of 1.199 dollars. The next version has the same size of the screen, the same processor, the same RAM memory, the same optical drive but it is different in the size of the hard drive (1 TB – so double compared to the previous model) and in the video card which is a ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics with 256 MB. These were the 2 versions with a 21.5 inch display screen, and now let’s discuss about the 2 versions that have a 27 inch display screen. The first one comes at a price of 1.699 dollars and also has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor @ 3.06 Ghz, also 4 GB of RAM memory, a hard drive of 1 TB, a 8x double layer Super Drive unit and a ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics with 256 MB. And finally, the best version of all has a big price of 1.999 dollars and most of the features like the previous model. But it has a Intel Core i5 Quad Core processor @ 2.66 (a processor with 4 cores instead of 2 like) and a ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics with 512 MB.

But the cool features and technologies are not ending here. If you might noticed this computer doesn’t have any central unit like any classic desktop computer. It has all the components integrated behind the display screen, just like in a laptop. But this is not all…the iMac has as standard features a wireless keyboard and mouse. But this is not just a regular mouse, it is the world’s first Multi Touch mouse. So it looks pretty much just like a normal mouse but it has the Multi touch technology of a laptop TouchPad. It has not visible buttons, no cord and no wheel. You will do all of the actions just by touching it in different ways. When you press anywhere on its surface it will act just like you are pressing the left click button so the whole surface is a button. If you want to use the “right click” function, hold one finger on the mouse, while clicking with another finger. You can also scroll with one finger to move horizontally or vertically and you can zoom by holding the CTRL key from the keyboard while scrolling with one finger. And you can even swipe left and right by using two fingers.

So after all the iMac is a great and advanced computer, and you will be really satisfied with it, so it worths all the money.

Apple MacBook Air

Apple is a famous and successful producer of electronic devices, which offers products like:  the iPod, the iPhone, the iPad, the iMac computer, the MacBook laptop, the Mac OS X operating system or the iTunes Store. Today we are going to discuss just about one of these products, and we’ll choose the MacBook notebooks.

There are three series of laptops in the MacBook family, and these are: the simple MacBook, the MacBook Pro, and the MacBook Air. The Apple MacBook Air is the best of all, with the best features and technical details and also with the slimmest design. And of course it is also the most expensive of all Apple laptops.

As you can see it is incredibly slim and really lightweight. It has a thickness of 0.16 to 0.76 inch and a weight of just 3 pounds. But this doesn’t mean that is not solid, because it is made out of a solid sheet of aluminum. It is not made out of many parts like other notebooks, but it has a unibody design and this will result in a clean and seamless appearance. With such small dimensions you can imagine that it is really portable and you can take it anywhere you go and use it any time you need.

The display screen has 13.3 inch in diagonal and it will offer you bright and rich colors. It supports a resolution of maximum 1280 x 800 and it features a LED technology which makes the screen more efficient. So this means the life of the battery will be longer. The MacBook air also features a full size keyboard with backlit keys, which means that you will easily be able to work in the dark. And below the keyboard you will find a spacious trackpad that also offers a Multi-Touch technology.

But this laptop does not only look good, and it also performs very good, having good technologies and features included. There are 2 available models, and both have a Intel Core 2 Duo processor only that the first one is running at 1.86 Ghz and the other one at 2.13 Ghz. The RAM memory is good too, but it could have been better – both models have 2 GB of DDR3 RAM. They also have a good graphics engine which is a NVIDIA GeForce 9400 M graphic engine. The battery is quite good and can last for up to 5 hours of continuous wireless connectivity. The first model has a 120 GB hard drive, while the other has a 128 GB disk and the laptop also has a headphones jack, a USB port and a Mini Display port. And of course it has a 802.11 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology so you can use the wireless internet wherever you get the chance.

You might consider that these technical details are not so good compared to other notebooks that have this price, but let’s not forget how small and thin the MacBook Air is. It has a height of 0.16 – 0.76 inch (0.4 – 1.94 cm) a width of 12.8 inches (32.5 cm), a depth of 8.94 inches (22.7 cm) and a weight of 3 pounds (1.36 kg). And now here are the complete technical details for the MacBook Air 1.86 Ghz, that has a price of 1.499 dollars.

-         Enclosure -  Precision aluminum unibody
-         Processor 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
-         L2 cache 6 MB shared

Apple is big multinational corporation that produces all sorts of electronic devices for the home users and also for companies. It has the headquarters in California, United States of America but it’s selling its products all over the world. So this means that it has many other locations in other countries, and many employees (around 35.000). Some of the most famous Apple products are: the iPod, the iPhone, the iMac, the MacBook, the iTunes, the MAC OS X operating systems etc.

But we won’t discuss about any of those products today and we’ll choose to talk about another one, the Apple TV. The Apple TV is a digital media receiver produced and sold by Apple. It is a small and simple looking device that is made to play digital video content. So all you have to do is connect the Apple TV to a browser such as iTunes Store, Youtube, Flickr or to any Windows or Mac OS X computer and enjoy the video content on a normal TV or on a High Definition TV. It can function as a home theater connected iPod device or a digital media receiver, depending how you want to use it.

The Apple TV was launched in March 2007 and it had an initial storage capacity of 40 GB. In may 2007 there was launched a second version that had a hard drive of 160 GB and this is the size that you can still find today for an Apple TV. But this doesn’t mean that the product wasn’t improved since 2007, because there was a third version launched in 2009 which can work better with wide screen displays, has improved iTunes integration and can stream internet radio content.

The Apple TV has a memory of 256 MB of DDR2 SDRAM and an Intel Pentium M @ 1 Ghz processor (that has the codename “Crofton”). It has dimensions of 197 mm x 197 mm x 28 mm (7.7 x 7.7 x 1.1 inch). But we think it would be much easier to give the complete technical details for this product. So here they are:

- Processor - Intel Pentium M 1.0 GHz "Crofton" Processor

- Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 (64 MB VRAM)

- Memory - 256 MB of 400 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

This cool device has a starting price of 229 dollars. So either you want to enjoy movies, pictures and TV shows at the best High Definition quality, or you want to listen to music from iTunes on your home theater speakers system you can definitely choose the Apple TV. What you need to have is a widescreen (16 by 9) enhanced definition of High Definition TV (with a HDMI, DVI or component video input port), a wired or a wireless network, an account on iTunes (only if you want to use it of course) and a Broadband internet connection…and of course 229 dollars to buy it. In the box you will receive the Apple TV device, the power cord, printed documentation and also a useful remote control. So enjoy it, and if you already have an Apple TV, share all your opinions with us.
