Like every product made by a human, even the mighty MacBook have some problems and bugs.  Yet, there are some simple steps to make to solve them.

One of the most common troubleshooting is the display problem that appear  to the MacBook, MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro models.

If your notebook won't see any picture on the display or if you don't hear any hard disk or fan activity, you can find in the next text  some easy steps to set them properly.
macbook-troubleshooting

First of all you will need to unplug in every device attached to your personal MacBook. This could mean any printer, hub, keyboard, mouse. Than try to power on the computer again. If it still not working, you might have to check the battery level. Push the little button from the battery or on the right side of your notebook. You should see a light signal who will indicate you the battery level. If you will se on this sign only one line means that it is almost of and  you will have to recharge  it. It is properly to use the notebook with its adapter connected, just to be sure that you have enough energy.

If it is still not working, try this method: unplug the adapter from the MacBook and from the electrical outlet. Wait one minute before connect it back, but putting it first in the wall and after on the slot from the notebook. Make sure that your home it is powered trying with another device that you are sure it is working, a telephone or a radio device.  When you will introduce the adapter in the MacBook, a green LED should start to light.

If the computer it is powered properly but still the troubleshooting persists you maybe should check the MagSafe port. This connector it is held in its place magnetically and can be easily removed because of that at a simple trip over the cord, making your MacBook not working. Look also if there aren't some impurities like dust or some other debris and see if all pins are at their place. If you find some problems at this point you should go to someone professional to change your cable.

If the cable it is properly working but your computer it is still shut down and don't want to start, check if you are using the special adapters made for your model. If you don't know for sure or if you need a new one, go to a specialized market that it is selling this type of products. There you can find good advices and consultancies.

To try to restart your computer, there it is a key combination that it will help you and which involves the simultaneous press of the command key, the control key and the power button for three seconds.

If you will press for three seconds or until you will hear the startup sound at least two times the combination of Option-  Command -P -R keys you will restart your MacBook's PRAM and NVRAM.

f it is still not working, you maybe should reset the System Management Controller (SMC) . You will be able to do this by removing any energy source, like the adapter cable and the battery and press the power button for 5 seconds. For the MacBook Air models, this can be done by pressing simultaneous the Shift-Control-Option buttons in the same time with the power one.

If you recently installed some additional components, like a memory board, make sure that it is properly plugged in its slot and that it is compatible and  good for your notebook. Remove the new added component and see if the computer it is starting.

If you still can't start your MacBook after following all of these steps you should check for the most appropriate Apple store or an Apple service provider. This are usual troubleshoots to MacBook systems and they will solve your problems in a couple of minutes.

If you are experiencing login solutions on the MAC OS X system after you upgraded your operating system to Leopard, this should be because your password, made previously on the first system, contains more than eight characters. Make sure that your passwords are ok for this bug before you will upgrade your MacBook and you will not experiment any troubleshoot.

A PMP is a portable media player, which is capable to store media files like photos, music or movies and display and play them. One of the best PM players  from the market it is the iPod, a line of portable players designed and released by Apple Inc. at the end of 2001. It is available in many variations of models starting with the classic iPod, to the iPod Touch and the iPod Nano or the Shuffle iPod. It can be compared with the iPhone, the smart phone model launched by the same Company, but, in generally, experts consider it another type of product. The difference between the classic model and the others is that the files are stocked on a hard disk, while the flash memory card is the base for the upgraded products from the same line.

Using versions of Microsoft Windows operating system, iPods can download and use music from iTunes or some other software, like an alternative for this program. This dedicated program can   also transfer photos, games or contact information. Thanks to the Lotus upgrade, a program released in collaboration with IBM, iPods can be used also for e-mails and calendars.

From September 9, 2009, iPod had been sold all over the world and become the best selling media digital player from all the times.

The iPod can play a lot of audio formats like the classical MP3 to the  M4A, WAV or AIFF or AAC. The Apple Inc. introduced with the iPod Photo the possibility to display JPEG, PNG, TIFF and, of course, the BMP format. Starting with the fifth generation, iPod was able to play also the MPEG-4 format, which defines a system of compressed audio and video data.

The first model used the Mac OS software but, starting with the second generation, they implemented the Microsoft Windows. Yet, iPods don't support the WMA files, but there are some converter programs special made for this format. Also, they cannot play the MIDI format, so popular this days, but it is able to replay the alternatives for it, like FLAC or Ogg.

The iPod have an easy interface, intuitive, for all categories of people that are targeted. With slide graphics and anti-aliased text, have an attractive look and design. All models, except the one with touch screen possibilities, have five integrated buttons, representing the basic functions as menu, play, stop, next or previous. Some models have this functions integrated in the click wheel button. Its design reminds of the cool and popular current named minimalism, because of it's curves, simply lines and shine material. The iPod Shuffle don't have integrated any buttons for control on the player but the user can do the specifically functions using a small button attached to the head phone set. Also, near the next/ previous, stop/ play buttons it contains also a volume button.

Because it is designed to keep you busy while you have some free time or to make you enjoy every moment, near opportunity to play music and movies, iPod offers you also the possibility to play games like the well- known Brick or Cubis 2. The 5th generation added to the game collection some new games like Mahjong, Pac Man, Tetris, Zuma, Vortex or Texas Hold Em'. The format used for this games it is  .ipg, a disguised type of the .zip archives.

You can compare the iPod with a mass portable storage for  data files and can be used as a boot disk for a personal computer. It can be formatted using the FAT32 in Windows, but, this procedure will take place every time a new iPod it is plugged to a computer using a Windows operating system. If the computer it is using a Mac OS X it will be formatting using a HFS+.

This device it is using a special software for transferring data and a simple copy/ paste, like the most other mp3 players, it will involve bad functionality, iPod can't play this type of files. You can use the iTunes software for this process, but there are some other developed programs available on the internet.

Using a database file, media data is stored on iPod in a hidden folder, unable to be seen in normal mode.

The configuration for this devices it is an optical one for a long and standard life. It have a microcontroller chip made by SigmaTel   which is able to handle the  music decoding and the audio circuitry. Wolfson Microelectronics contributed with the audio chip and  the storage flash memory it is from Samsung, a leader for the market in this domain. It have internal batteries made from lithium and a 3.5 inch display available for the iPod Touch or a 2.5 inch available for other versions.

The MacBook Pro is a line of notebooks released by Apple Corporation at the start of the year 2006 at the Macworld Conference & Expo, in the United States, a special exposition dedicated exclusively to the MacIntosh products, as a replace of PowerBook G4, a notebooks line sold between 2001 and 2006.

MacBook Pro was produced under the MacBook's family range, along with the consumer-focused notebook and the ultra portable thin notebook, MacBook Air , being positioned at the high- end part of this line.

First model of MacBook Pro was a large and heavy notebook, using just like as his second version, aluminum. There are, in this moment, 3 available models of MacBook Pro and they have different measures like 13", 15" and 17" .

The first model, the 13" one,was released on January 10, 2006,  and was criticized because from its components were missing the IEEE 1394 interface and the Separate Video ports. These parts was added on the later models, 15" and 17". Also, this models was upgraded  with a type of webcams, developed by Apple Inc. , both external and internal, named iSight and a MagSafe connector, a connector which is held magnetically in its slot.

The MacBook Pro  Special model  have an impressive configuration which contains a Intel Core 2 Duo processor at 2.5GHz, a 17" display, available in 2 types, mate or glossy, widescreen. It have one of the best graphic cards from the market at this moment, represented by a nVidia Geforce 8600M GT with 512MB of GDDR3 SDRAM . Its hard drive can support almost 5400 rotation per minute  and have a capacity of 320 gigabytes, with a Serial ATA slot.  Contains also and 2 GB RAM memory split in 2 boards.

Like all the models from the MacBook Pro family, this one has the left side of the case shifted and the optical drive slot removed from this part and integrated on the right side. Also,  the DVI, a high-quality video interface for digital displays, was  replaced with a miniaturized version of the standard digital display interface, named Mini Display Port.
mac-book-pro-special2

The MackBook Pro model is stylish and lightweight, in contrast with its predecessors, using an unibody construction, but deeper and wider thanks to its widescreen. The touchpad was also been enlarged making the scroll and interacting with it, method also known as multi-touch, more easier and attractive. The keyboard is back lighted and arranged in a QWERTY system, the most used keyboard layout in these days. The hard drive is located in the battery compartment at the 15" model and under the bottom panel on the MacBook Pro model, characteristic that makes it irreplaceable, requiring a entirely disassemble of the device.

Its battery also has an unique design because the designers wanted to use all the free space and didn't used the classical round cells inside of it. The material used to create them it is the best from the market, the lithium-ion polymer, used to create rechargeable batteries, that helps to extend the battery's durability. On the experiments it was proofed that the MacBook Pro has an 8 hours life and can be recharged up to 1000 times.

Also, even it is looking perfect, the MacBook Pros have some problems with the wireless connections like the third part routers connectivity. It is loosing frequently the signal and have problems with the IP requiring part. The users, and even the Apple's experts report problems when they tried to access a secure network but the solution of this it will be a simple turning off and on of the AirPort.

To improve the quality of the MacBook Pro, the experts elaborated some solutions for these bugs, but there are pretty hard and uncomfortable like deleting the wireless network and re-make it or rebooting the entire system for one minute.
mac-book-pro-special3

Even if it has some little problems with these aspects mentioned, the MacBook Pro one of the best notebooks from the market and will let every user perplexed every time he or she will use it. Also, it is impressionable that finally, the Apple Inc. putted a SD Card slot, a massive detachable storage,  in one of its products.

The MacBook family are very popular line and  this high-end product, the MacBook Pro, made on every single user a good impression and never disappointed.

iMac Troubleshooting

Probably Apple Inc. is one of the best tech companies in the world, but still they cannot do miracles just yet. When buying a new product, a few know exactly how to use it properly. Therefore, you can do mistakes when using it. On the other hand, it is possible to know how that product works, but things can go wrong. iMac troubleshooting can be tricky and this is why you can find here a few things that can go wrong, and what can you do to fix them.

Turn it on

That should be the easiest thing ever. First, locate the power button and then press it. In case this doesn't work and the battery isn't charged, check if your iMac is plugged in or if the power source you are using is working.

Internet troubleshooting

After establishing a service with an Internet Service Provider, you can start connecting to the Internet over a LAN. In order to achieve that, connect your DSL modem or your Ethernet cable from a cable modem and your iMac might determine automatically the proper settings needed. If not, you will have to enter this information manually. There are other ways to connect to the Internet besides a modem. You can use AirPort application. Turn it on from the Applications menu and choose the name of the wireless network you wish to connect. Alternatively, you can use a Dial-up connection by establishing a dial-in number in your configuration. All Apple computers have a Network Setup Assistant, which will provide you help in every step of the way. If, from some reason, your Internet connection is not working, check your modem or even restart it, check your network configuration and use Network Diagnostics.

Mailing troubleshooting

Of course, the first thing you have to do is creating a New Message from the File menu. After into the To field, enter the recipient's address and start typing your message. Finally, click Send. When checking your mail, you can do that either manually or automatically. When checking manually, you'll do that in the old fashioned way. However, if you want to set your Mail to check for itself new messages, choose from Preferences, Check for new mail. If your messages don't get to their destinations, check your Internet connection or see the Connection Doctor for additional help.

Keeping your iMac in shape

When you connect to the Internet, regularly check for software updates to make sure that your system will run optimally. Organize your files so that you can have an easy access to them. Always back up your files to prevent losing them and name them so that will mean something to you when searching through them. Also regularly check for viruses. Although, Mac OS are pretty secure, they are not infallible. For the outside, use a soft and dry cloth to clean the dust and other dirt that might build up on your computer.
imac-troubleshooting2

Installing software

If the software comes on a CD, then simply insert it in your computer disc drive and the installer window will open automatically. When the software is a downloaded file ( .dmg file), usually the disk image will open it and install it after the download finishes. Every time you install new software, check if you have enough disk space. If not, maybe it is time for a general clean up.

Setting up a printer

The printer will be, most probably, automatically detected and installed by your Mac. Next, add the printer to the Printer List. You can choose some options for your printing and after, start printing your documents.

Burn CDs

Insert the blank CD into the disc drive; add your files you want to burn, then choose the burning speed and click Burn.

If these tips don't work or if they aren't what you need, you can always check Apple's homepages for more iMac troubleshooting.
