Just like software updates, it seems Apple's patent applications come in packs, because most of the time, they file for at least 2 or 3 patents at once, just as it happened yesterday...
First, we have 3 patents related to the iPod touch and the iPhone. One of them describes a way to rearrange the Home screen, and the other two are related to the unique touchscreen keyboard able to handle functions such as email editing.
On the other hand, there's also a very interesting patent concerning "episodic" gaming, but this is nothing new, in my opinion - each title is just a part of a greater entity, as it happens in Half-Life 2. Anyway, the interesting part is that Apple's patent covers a new way of marketing such games, by detecting what someone already has bought and played, and this will probably lead to game updates via iTunes or something like that.
At last, Apple also filed patents concerning online stores - it's basically about users of an online shop being allowed to research products themselves and learn about their features, but the site design will take care of recommending what you need, as submitted by other people. Well, I guess we'll see more about this when the AppStore opens, in June...

As usual, Apple updated more of its products at once, and since we're talking about compatibility issues and various bug fixes, I can't say anything else than "Great!" The applications updated are iTunes, QuickTime and Front Row.
First, iTunes has been updated to version 7.6.2. This new version brings improved stability and performance, according to Apple, has 45 MB in size, and can be downloaded from this page, if you're not using the software updater utility, or if you're a new user.
Next, QuickTime for Panther, Tiger and Leopard was updated to version 7.4.5, improving compatibility with third-party applications, reliability, and fixing some security issues.
At last, we have Front Row 2.1.3, only for Mac OS X Leopard systems. This is a 20.5 MB download, and its purpose is to improve compatibility with the iTunes 7.6.2 update.

As time passes by, more and more people wonder when is the 3G iPhone going to arrive, and it seems latest reports bring good news. Obviously, we're not talking about anything official from Apple regarding the 3G iPhone yet, but it's good to hear about its early arrival from multiple sources, since this means there are more chances to see it happening...
First, it should be noted that Ralph de la Vega, AT&T's Mobility CEO, says his company is expecting to have all smartphones in the network integrated with 3G in a matter of months, which makes me think the iPhone 2.0 update may bring 3G to older models, although that is widely known as impossible, for now. Well, I guess we should live and see, shouldn't we?
Now, considering that Shane Wu from American Technology Research already said the 3G iPhone will arrive in June-July, this is it! Anyway, if it is possible, I am sure Apple will bring a software update to unleash 3G capabilities on older iPhones too, but this is also something that only time will tell.
In the meantime, if you consider buying a smartphone and can't really decide about what to buy, feel free to check some iPhone reviews. It may not be the "smartest" phoine around, but it surely has "the WOW! factor..."

The best part with Apple is that, sometimes, they release products only a few were expecting to see, but despite the fact that in the last years the Cupertino-based company became less surprising, I am sure there are some very interesting and innovative products waiting to be released in the near future, and today I am going to tell you about two such products - the 3G iPhone and the multi-touch Macs.
First, let's talk about what's going to arrive sooner than anticipated - the 3G iPhone. According to Shaw Wu, from American Technology Research, the 3G iPhone will arrive in late June, or maybe July, in the same period as the iPhone 2.0 firmware.
If the above proves to be correct, the new iPhone will probably be announced by Steve Jobs during his WWDC keynote in early June, and once the device arrives on the market, it is expected to be sold together with the "2.5G" iPhone, at least for a while(after all, not everyone who wants an iPhone may need 3G connectivity).
At last, it seems I wasn't talking nonsense when I said Apple will release computers with voice control only... because Gene Munsterm Piper Jaffray's analyst, says that around 2010 Apple could release a "MacBook touch with touchscreen keypad features." Well, after touch... I am sure there's room for "MacBook talk!"
These being said, I'll wait for your feedback, as usual. No matter what you think, it's important to say it, because we're here to listen!

Did you ever think Apple would leave Microsoft alone in their video ads? To be honest, I don't like such advertising, but I enjoyed (most) Apple ads, and now the time has come for two new "Get a Mac" videos to destroy Microsoft...
"Breath out and expell all that bad Vista energy???" Come on! I love Apple, but I think this is a bit too much! Anyway, the ad is interesting to watch, especially since it features Judy Greer, best known for her supporting roles in The Wedding Planner, 13 Going on 30, and 27 Dresses, and also starring the 2008 sitcom Miss Guided.
Now, let's leave Yoga aside and move to a psychiatry session... In the "Breakthrough" video, the PC is finally relieved by the guilt for all its problems, but comes to a very interesting conclusion, but I won't spoil you the surprise, so watch the ad!
At last, don't forget to drop us your comments below, as usual, because I am sure there are a lot of things to be said about the videos above...
